Shipping & Travel

  • Do you offer shipping?

Yes! While we're located in New Haven, Indiana, we proudly work with families across the country and offer three safe and reliable shipping options:

    1. Nanny Air Travel (Recommended)

A Maumee Bridge Puppies staff member flies with your puppy in-cabin as a carry-on and delivers your puppy directly to your chosen airport. This is our most personalized and safest travel option. We've flown puppies to San Francisco, Dallas, Charlotte, Boston, Anchorage, and more.

Note: Airline approval depends on the puppy’s size. If the puppy’s head touches the top of the carrier, they may not qualify for in-cabin travel.

    2. Air Cargo Travel

We work with American Airlines Cargo for this option. Your puppy flies safely in the cargo section of the plane and is picked up near baggage claim. This method is temperature-dependent (20°–85°F) and is another safe, well-regulated way to travel. We fly from Fort Wayne International Airport (FWA).

    3. Ground Transportation

For families in the Midwest and surrounding states, we offer commercial ground transport. Your puppy is delivered to your home or a designated meeting place. We also offer personal delivery within 150 miles for an added mileage-based fee (charged round-trip).

You're also always welcome to pick up your puppy in person, either by driving or flying in. If you nanny your puppy home yourself, you're responsible for their care during travel.

Health & Environment

  • What kind of environment are the puppies raised in?

Our puppies are raised in a home-like kennel environment with:

    • Private bedrooms featuring heated tile floors, beds, and access to a doggie door
    • A play yard with grass, stones, and playground equipment
    • Daily exercise and enrichment through toys, music, social play, and varied surfaces
    • Exposure to grooming: nails, brushing, baths, and ear cleaning
    • Interaction with adults, children, and other dogs

While our puppies are not fully crate trained, they are exposed to crates during vet trips or cleaning routines and begin learning potty habits.

  • Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. Every puppy comes with a written health guarantee that covers:

    • 5 business days for communicable illnesses
    • 2 years for congenital/genetic defects (e.g., hip dysplasia, heart defects)

If a puppy becomes ill or is deemed unfit for sale due to a serious condition, we will offer a refund or replacement puppy, and we will coordinate with your vet to provide care.

All puppies are vet-checked at 7–8 weeks, and vaccinated/dewormed on schedule.

  • Are you licensed or certified?

Yes — and proudly so. Maumee Bridge Puppies is:

    • Licensed & inspected by the USDA
    • Licensed by the Indiana Board of Animal Health
    • Purdue Canine Care Certified (advanced voluntary certification)
    • A member of ICAW (Indiana Council for Animal Welfare)

    • If no puppy of the reserved sex is available, you can transfer to another litter or request a refund of your $100

  • Are deposits refundable?

In most cases, deposits are non-refundable, unless:

The puppy becomes sick or injured in our care

    • A waiting list puppy of your chosen sex is not born
